Nice little historic bridge with good views over the brook. There is a river level meter too so we can see how high the brook is.

I found myself on horseback traversing Antlands Ln and out of nowhere I was almost struck off my horse by the pure awe of what I had discovered, a lovely bit or architecture hidden in plain sight. Likely of roman origins I dismounted my horse and began inspecting. It has a strong consistency and a subtle earthly taste. The stone spoke to me on a spiritual level and my horse seemed to become more at ease the closer to the bridge I got. There is something ethereal, otherworldly about this bridge - it cannot be put into words and must be experienced in person.

I visited this bridge once with my wife, hoping to wow her with the amazing views. She didn't say much at the time but I thought she loved it, anyway, eventually she left me. I suspect this was the reason why. But otherwise nice bridge!

A little bridge overlooking the burstow stream, worth taking a look if you're at the nearby bar/restaurant.

Part of the original layout for the hamlet in Shipley Bridge before the M23 expansion.
