Quite a surprise with a bright, modern Georgian building built on a site of Christian worship allegedly since the 500s. There was much work rededicated in 1965 and a beautiful annex and conference complex added in 2001. Very much a working place of worship, it was striking in both its modernity, art and features. The 'crown of thorns' above the altar and the very modern organ in particular.

After several attempts to get here, I finally made it and am so pleased I did . I loved the building and it's stations of the cross must be one of a kind .the staff were very welcoming and busy There was a special concert on the day I arrived by local school children . They sounded very good I am sure their performance was a great success . Probably a lesser well known Cathedral but none the less spectacular in my opinion .I visit a lot of these places of worship and each and everyone has something very special to offer .

An absolutely stunning cathedral and a must-visit if you're in Blackburn. I attended an afternoon organ recital here and was in awe. The instrument is amazing by itself, but there are many other things to enjoy, from the architecture to Checks & Grey's, the cathedral cafe. A great day out!

The Cathedral is beautiful. Nice place to light candles and sit and pray. The also have events throughout the year. Lifts or stairs to toilets and Cafe is a lovely place for a drink or food staff friendly and helpful, also can pick up a gift or two .

An absolutely beautiful building steeped in history. Highly recommend taking the guided tour as I did today. Roy was extremely knowable and managed to answer all questions asked. A small donation is recommend but not required. About 100m from the main rail and bus station. Highly recommended.
