Large nature reserve with an atmospheric secluded beach overlooking the channel. The area was formed by coastal erosion meeting waterlogged mudstone and slumping cliffs. Stand long enough by the mud bank and it's possible to see the ground moving. At one time the Warren was a popular tourist attraction with its own railway station halt, but is now a much wilder environment. Some of the paths can be very muddy in winter so it's worth bringing decent walking boots. Extensive concrete sea defences have been installed to protect the railway line. These provide a long flat walkway by the sea, though do detract a little from the natural beauty.

A quiet, beautiful and very green place to explore on foot. We completed the Woodland Walk (4k). Definitely put me through my paces given with its steep climbs up and down. No surprise really given its cliff side location. Worth it and I felt very adventurous!

A beautiful and quiet place to energise from bustle life. Must visit with dear ones and family to refresh.
