Excellent museum commemorating the Heroes who fought in the skies over Southern England in the Battle of Britain, absolutely packed with memorabilia and facts. Definitely worth visiting if you are in the area, just to add no photographs can be taken inside the buildings but the Aircraft outside can be. Lovely Cafe serving an all day breakfast and more, staff very friendly and knowledgeable which adds upto my five star rating.

Well worth a visit! The on site cafe was reasonably priced serving a variety to suit most tastes by friendly volunteers who were enthusiastic and accommodating. The museum was fascinating! We should have set aside a whole day instead of an afternoon. They have some unique and very different artefacts and the stories of bravery and skills were amazing. The aircraft outside are being continually improved and cared for as funds permit. Lest we forget!

Magical little gem of a museum and so much to see I will most definitely be coming back as the 3hrs we spent here was not enough. It is such a fantastic tribute to the men and women who went to war telling their personal stories, and with the planes and other artifacts, it is so very touching. The day of our visit there were amazing volunteers dressed up to commemorate those who were in the war. Also had tea & cake which was the best I've tasted in a very long time. Most definitely worth a visit, even if it is tucked away in Hawkinge.

Really special place to visit lots to see and read about the battle of britain itself and wartime britain generally. Very informative volunteers in attendance are very approachable and friendly offering lots of extra information. Word of advice; visitors are not allowed to take cameras or phones into the museum they can be left in an individual locked draw at the reception (you are given the key) there are very valid reasons for this rule and it absolutely makes sense when it is explained and actually it makes for a lovely quiet atmosphere to be able to concentrate on the exhibits also the volunteers are willing to accompany anyone who would like a particular photo at the end of the visit visitors can collect phones etc and they will help take photos with you. There is a small cafe on site selling reasonably priced food and also a small gift shop. The museum is staffed by volunteers and is run on donations so well worth a visit.

It was such an amazing place with beautiful views, we were very impressed and I highly recommended it. The museum is the oldest established and largest cillection of Battle of Britain artefacs on show in the country. It is in Folkestone and is privately run by enthusiasts and volunteers as a charitable trust.
