Tan y Marian Bach rebuilt sympathetically using local materials, stone, slate and wood. A wonderful secluded family home, surrounded by Tan y Marian wood and farmland but afforded an unparalleled view of the Strait and the Carneddau mountains,

A small area, but with some of the most spectacular views in the area across the Straits to Eryri and out to sea over Red Wharf Bay. Short grass over stone and a maze of tracks through gorse.

Great viewpoint on this reserve but quite tricky to find, lots of windy roads to reach it but worth it for the views. The reserve is not obvious from the road and the track is not accessible by car but if you walk up the track you will find the reserve. A helpful and friendly resident pointed us in the right direction.

I discovered this nature reserve in the old limestone quarries high above Glanrafon only recently and go there at least once a week. Fabulous views and rocks and a bench to sit for a picnic. Highly recommended

Amazing view over the mountains, looks like you're going into a driveway but keep going and you'll see a few spaces to park.
