This is a good little park and could be better as there is even more space for other amusements. However it's not very known and you can get swing to yourself which is never the case at near by crossley park. A good little find and we will come back.

Some basic parking near the bridge with the traffic lights. Lovely walks along the tow paths. Very evocative of some 18th or 19th Century idyll (that never really existed!). Interestingly there is the last turf-sided lock on the Wey at Walsham Gates. The priory is on private land although in my wayward youth I did hop over the fence and visit once! Got chased by a huge herd of cows so served me right. I guess they are stricter now....anyway, lovely photo spots of the river and the priory in the background. There is also a new fish weir at Walsham Gates (PS12m it cost, apparently!)..Easy walk up to Pyrford Lock and back.

Lovely walk from Ripley cricket green/play area to the Weir. Walk along towpath towards pub. Suggest dogs kept on leads some very narrow areas and deep drops to river.

The actual reservoir itself is fantastic to walk around, however a few minor issues is the new gate in place that prevents making a loop after a certain time of the bottom part of the reservoir. So naturally I would look to take in the top reservoir as well, this becomes pretty much impractical if there has been any rain with the footpath being overgrown, muddy and inaccessible. Morons do have a tendency to fly tip on the private road and carpark, which is no fault of the land owner. But an observation
