Beautiful place, very quaint and interesting
Worth a little stroll out to see the Scarborough Belle statue and lighthouse. Plenty of seating to watch the boats coming and going and a lovely view of Scarborough sea front and beyond.
Pretty beautiful beach area - great place for kids as water is quite shallow when the tide is out. Not great for swimming as an adult as it's so shallow but we only went at low tide so might be different at high tide. Nice cafe nearby if you park in the Sea Life carpark and there are clean toilets and changing rooms at 40p a visit which is reasonable for how well looked after they are. There are a couple shops and bars too although I didn't use them. We went as an adult couple to swim and relax and as I said, couldn't swim, but it wasn't crammed so we could relax, read, and eat lunch. A bit calmer than the absolute chaos of the South Bay Beach.
This has been on my wish list for some time and having an hour to spare, I made a beeline for this museum. What a fantastic place! A fabulous greeting upon arrival, plenty of parking, and lots of fascinating exhibits. You don't have to be into cars, fairground music organs or merry go rounds to appreciate the quality of the items on show, all spotless and with lots of fascinating information too. When one of the organs 'burst' into song, it was fantastic and as daft as it sounds, I found it quite emotional. One of the displays included artefacts I played with as a kid ... it was a lovely trip down memory lane. Lots of different age groups were there, it's such a lovely place. I also had a slice of cake and cold drink which was reasonably priced.
Lovely place to visit! We thoroughly had a great time here. Lots to see and lots of activities for the kids! W also got to hold a baby chick... so cute! :D Would definitely recommended!
This was a delightful way to get to Peas home green park from the Sea Life center and the kids loved it! The staff were great and really helpful with the pram. All had a great sense of humour and were really friendly with the kids.
