Great pebble beach with some sand. Just under two hours away from London Victoria by train. You can get either direct train or with one change which is about 20 quicker then the direct one. If you like crowd places you can go to the beach from the pier with easy access to all attractions, snack places or if you someone more like me who like a bit more space you can walk to the right, cross the bridge and then you will get to the nice and more private pebble beach. It's about 25 minutes walk from the train station. If you driving there you can get there by car, there is a parking space ( its a pay car park ). Very nice beach with low tide in the morning and early afternoon and high tide in the late afternoon. I found much easier access to the water during the high tide.

This redoubt, built in 1854, was to defend the Arun against the possible French forces of Napoleon III, nephew of Napoleon I. There is not much to see and can only be viewed along one edge by the coastal path. Let's hope that they can save and restore this little piece of history.

Interesting! Also lovely beach which seems to go on for miles and miles and very quiet. Sand dunes are an intense suntrap!

Very interesting piece of Littlehampton history - urgently requires funding for further restoration and accessibility - could be a gem of a tourist attraction. Excellent work done by those involved in the work undertaken so far. Thank you.

It's not particularly interesting to be honest. All you can see is a few overgrown walls which you can see just as well from photos of it and it's cordoned off anyway. Nevertheless, more interesting to look at than the golf course next door as you make your way to the beach.

The Fort looks amazing and easily accessed. Unfortunately it's surrounded my fencing so you can't get close to it. This is ripe for opening into a tourist attraction. There are some lovely walks around the area and the golf course is a stones throw away. The Fort could be a. Assuve tourist attraction and a real benefit to Littlehampton.
