This Victorian-era pier stretches 293 meters into the English Channel, offering stunning views of the coastline and surrounding town. Its amusement arcades, food stalls, and souvenir shops cater to visitors of all ages, while the pier's railings are adorned with vibrant artwork created by local school children. At the pier's end, a 19th-century pavilion now houses a family-friendly amusement park, complete with a Ferris wheel, roller coaster, and other thrill rides.
Nice beach. Mainly pebble beach and has sand at one end and when the tide goes out. If you're looking for a beach to just relax on the coast it's great. Not much to do when there. Small arcade and theme park with about 10 rides. A few places to eat and quite cheap for seaside prices.
Beautiful but super windy that day
The kids loved it. Definitely worth a visit and there is parking really close. Would recommend buying a wrist band in advance.
I personally liked everything about the visit me and my family made to here today. From the easy and stress free parking, to the pleasant walk there along the harbour, to the un-expected sandy beach which just made the day for us completely!! There were shops and amenities and crab fishing and ample space to have a fun filled and enjoyable time with the family and more!! Would highly recommend.
Great views across the East beach. Amazing construction with timbers that must be about 100 years old. Plus sentimental plaques of dead inhabitants on the benches.
Hey, this is a great spot for a family outing. There's a beautiful pond with water cycles, and a lovely promenade where you can take a stroll and enjoy the view of the boats.
