Excellent scenic steam ride through the North Yorkshire Moors to the seaside town of Whitby. All the facilities you would expect and 5 different locomotives operating on this visit. Annual pass is good value.

Yes, this is the train station of Harry Potter's Hogsmeade. Yes, it still looks the same! Yes, I think it's cool to go there and take a picture! Aside from Harry Potter, it is nice to go one stop to Grosmont on a steam engine locomotive. Costs about 16 pounds per person. Also, take a look at the tea room which is also train culture oriented. The parking lot nearby is not very big, and it can be problematic to find parking if the parking lot is full. So come early. Costs about 6 pounds for the most of the day to park there (see other tariffs in the picture added here). The staff was so helpful and very respective. The whole experience makes you feel like there are still places where the old ways of life are very much alive. I say it in the very best regards.

Perfect for Harry Potter fans There's a tearoom and store for souvenir. Though there's nothing much nearby so I would suggest taking the train or bus to Whitby as well.

This is a great way to spend an hour or two whilst waiting for the next train to Whitby. If you're a fan of heartbeat then this is definitely worth a visit, a shot walk to see the garage and the shops that were used during filming

Fantastic place to visit. Didn't go on train this time as we visited not to long ago. Great atmosphere and nice to sit on platform and watch the world go by or explore the engine shed. Food at the cafes also excellent
