Fascinating historic home. I feel lucky to have been able to visit with a small group as only open a limited number of days per year. Interesting tour conducted by owners, who willingly answered many questions about what we were shown, including a number of quirky pieces. The music box was amazing.
Beautiful location with panoramic views and an information board that will stun you of the history there. You can't fly a drone here because of the airfield located close by.
What a fantastic experience, I've been to mazes all over the world and this one is by far the best, we got lost on numerous occasions and at one point we almost call the emergency services but we then found the secret passage that led us to the exit which to our delight was a beautiful pub where we could all sit down with a cheeky beer and share our experiences, WOW! What a day, thank you chevin stone maze, we will see you again soon
This place is spectacular. Easy trail, excellent place for a run. The reservoir is surrounded by farm and woodland with trails in the woods as well. Lovely place to take dogs and kids. There are no facilities around this reservoir, but toilets are available close to Swinsty. If you want to have a picnic, you will need to go to the Swinsty reservoir, which is an easy walk from this reservoir.
A super place for a walk. Boots advised, as it's rough ground. Views to north and south, plus close up plane spotting on the final approach to Leeds a couple of miles to the south east. Paths along the hillside vary from the open views at the top through various woods below. Large rocks and trackside walls reveal the quarrying past of the site.
