A tranquil forest in North Yorkshire, England, featuring a mix of coniferous and deciduous trees, including oak, beech, and pine, with scenic walking trails, picnic areas, and stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
Amazing technical trails, including some great technical climbs perfect for ebikes. There are definitely more trails than shown on the map, even if you ignore all the off piste on the other side of the road. Even the red is on the upper end of difficultly for red in the UK, shame they're not all like this!
Nice hard standing car park which is free, plenty of spaces, no facilities Plenty of paths throughout the woods, very popular with mountain bikes, excellent for dog walking, some of the paths can be muddy Highlight is visiting the the trig on Lindley Moor
I don't know what I did wrong. I parked in the car park, followed the stoney path and when I thought I was going through the forest I found the photo here. A destroyed forest. Hope people's visits are better than mine and the family!
Really cool set of trails. Could have been here longer. Would love to know if it can be connected to longer routes in the area. No easy stuff definitely red or black.
Lovely place for a quiet peaceful walk. Plenty of parking. Visited for an evening walk and if you walk to the edge of the forest and continue, there are some amazing views. Theres is also another car park on the back Otley Road which is predominantly used by cyclists and mountain bikers to follow a range of trails.
Great little trail park, rocky, technical, not for the inexperienced. Free car park, (signage and some parts of the trail could do with updating) + there's some fun off piste stuff over the road that is easy to find that can add a bit more distance to this short trail centre.
Wheelchair-accessible car park
