The location isn't really in a great place. it's only very small..The staff value their job and are passionate about it - ensure they protect the animals inside - cleaning prams and ensuring people stand in a solution to protect the animals - It's at Freeport in hornsea which didn't look very busy with not alot to offer other than bugtopia and the play area next to it.. I think these two places keep Freeport going - unless we came on a bad day We aren't local to the area so this was somewhere we went for a day with the kids due to being on holiday

Had a really good time here. It is worth going in and out and coming back for the different talks. Was worth a visit and kids enjoyed getting close up.

Amazing place with free roaming reptiles -'d lots of other animals to see. The place is like a mini jungle in a big greenhouse-type environment. It's not that big so you need to take your time and stay for the talks. We went there to look around then went out to get ice cream just around the corner and came back for the talk on the Civit. There are other animals you can get up close to. The iguana wandering around was amazing

Quite a small place but plenty of things to see if you take your time. You can come and go multiple times in the day once paid. The animals all seem well cared for and the staff clearly passionate about their jobs. Little talks on throughout the day and a chance to experience the insects and reptiles up front. It's very warm and humid inside for obvious reasons, approx 30c. which could be uncomfortable for some. A bit on the small side but they're limited by the space they have.

Great fun for a hour or two with the kids. Lots of interesting bugs, birds and reptiles to see up close. Ben the curator was really enthusiastic and grabbed our interest about why bugs are important for our world, and to embrace rather than be scared of them. Particularly enjoyed the "Invertebrate Encounter" and getting to hold a cockroach (never EVER thought I'd say that!). If you're expecting to wander round like a zombie and be force-fed a bunch of stuff to look at, then this isn't the place for you. If you enjoy a bit of a poke around, maybe learning something new, and challenging the kids to see what they can find, then you'll really enjoy it like we did. Was definitely worth the drive over!
