A super little museum over three floors, with loads for adults and kids across the ages; full of interactive games & learning - we'll be back!

Beautiful town. Definitely worth a walk along the Avon river. The quaint Tudor building and inner courtyards are also worth visiting... especially the "pub of the year 2023"!

Little gift shop and up some stairs to view old part of house, in which the Heritage Centre sits, to find uneven floor, old marbled walls and educational boards about Tewkesbury. Some interactive activities upstairs, which could appeal to children, including some based on the fact that the house used to be a hat shop. Also some leaflets and public unisex toilet. Free to visit. Donations appreciated.

An impressing building exterior, although I was only passing on the street.

Checked reviews on trip advisor in advance, and many people said the heritage centre was closed when they visited. Same for us. It seems you have to be accompanied upstairs to the heritage bit, for some unfathomable reason, and some of the staff are unable to facilitate this (not sure why they've made it quite so complicated for themselves!). Pity as that was the main reason for us going, but the shop is ok, and they have some useful leaflets eg local walks. We recommend the alleyways tour! Just a shame the heritage section is so seldom open to the public.
