About

The Tower of London, officially known as Her Majesty's Royal Palace and Fortress of the Tower of London, is a historic castle located on the north bank of the River Thames in central London. It has served as a royal palace, prison, armory, treasury, and even a zoo over the centuries. The tower is home to the Crown Jewels and the Yeoman Warders (also known as Beefeaters). The castle's architecture is a mix of medieval and Tudor styles, with a distinctive white tower, the White Tower, built in the 11th century. The tower is surrounded by two concentric rings of walls and a moat, which has been filled in and is now a grassy area. The castle is guarded by the Yeoman Warders and is open to the public for tours, which include the Jewel House, the Crown Jewels, and the famous ravens that live on the premises.

The garden at King John's Lodge is absolutely beautiful, wild, formal, art and nature. It really has a wonderful and harmonious balance between the natural and man made. It is one of my very favourite gardens in the UK, love it.

This is one of the last rare gems, where the original touch and soul of the gardener can be felt in a garden that is nestled in the landscape. The tranquil atmosphere and the different garden areas to explore make it worth a visit at any time of the year. The nursery itself has a large and interesting variety of plants and a beautiful little shop. The tearoom with it's own little garden is a delight.
