Very nice place with plenty of flowers, trees, fruits and veggies to see. Mini zoo was also fun with few opportunities to see animals being fed. The maze was also good fun too. There is also a cafe with indoor seating and nice outdoor seating as well. We were 3 adults and 2 kids and everyone enjoyed the day. Paid PS39 and parking was free. Would be nice to have small playground for the kids.
We came for the Alpaca experience, and even though it was in the pouring rain, we couldn't have been happier. It was such a wonderful time with the fluffy adorable animals over the 30 minutes, Along with the very friendly Charlotte who told us all about them. Highly recommend!!
Went with my daughter and her two girls aged 6 and 8 yrs old. Did the animals first then did the long walk up to the fairy woodland. On the way we stopped to do the maze. It's a nice size I guess, quite small compared to some. They use a prickly Holly bush so be careful. Be lovely if they had a bench or two in the centre. Then we continued on past the Manor House and into the Fairy Woodland. It wasn't what I had imagined it to be but, lovely in it's own unique way. The girls enjoyed it and lovely to be out of the sun and in the shade for a bit. We all had a short rest on the carved seats at the end of the walk, and chatted about the various things they had just seen. On the way out we stopped to see the ponies and donkeys. A quick ice cream and drink at the cafe before leaving. I have to say that we were disappointed at the cafe, not much to eat. Will remember for next time and bring our own food. All in all it was a lovely trip out for a few hours
Capel Manor Gardens has different theme gardens within the garden. It is really nice to spend an afternoon in it and enjoying the lovely scenery!
Marvellous weather brought out the best in.thus excellent facility. We took our 7 year old granddaughter and managed a full and varied day. We started with a quick orientation and then the mini zoo. This is very clean and pleasant with enthusiastic staff who give short briefings/viewing of their particular animals through the day. We attended the meerkat and the lemur ones. The scores of small gardens were glorious. The little competition with things to stamp enthralled our little one, as did the medal for completion. It was not that easy! Lunch was our own picnic, but we also attended the mini garden building event and did the maze so definitely needed a coffee afterwards!
Summer 2024 I hadn't visited Capel Manor for quite a few years as I no longer live in that part of London. Boy what a nice surprise. They've really made it much better. There's quite a lot to see including a mini zoo with interesting animals. They have feeding times so getting there before "lunchtime" is worthwhile. Lots of interesting flora and fauna to see including exhibits from former Chelsea Flower show exhibits. Nice enough cafe with plenty of seating inside and out. They stop selling hot food at 14.00. Although there's an entry charge to help keep the place going it's worth it and you can easily spend a long leisurely time there. Toilets are in the foyer and the cafe. I found the signage outside confusing to find them. Senior moment methinks
