Lovely day out every time we come here. The best bit is being able to sit in with the goats and pigs. I never want to leave. I feel some of the enclosures could be bigger for the birds of prey and lemurs. The animal handling sessions are also lovely and well organised. Facilities are always clean and food is lovely. We will keep regularly visiting.
Such a great day out! Took my brother and his family here the other weekend when they came to visit and was pleasantly surprised at how many different types of animals they had including some you don't often see like kookaburras. Included in the admission cost is a slot for the animal petting session where you can hold and pet rabbits, guinea pigs and mice. You can also buy goat/deer food to feed the animals which is great fun. My 10 month old niece was probably a little young to enjoy the experience but us adults had a great time The restaurant here was also super quick at getting food out and had high chairs available which was great.
Me and my daughter had a wonderful afternoon at the animal park, we got there just in time for the petting zoo and my 18 month old loved stroking and saying hello to the rabbits, guinea pigs and mice. We then walked round which is a smallish area got to say hello to some goats and pigs and the animals loved coming up to greet us. The paths are mainly gravel and stones so can be a bit difficult with buggies or wheelchairs, and there isn't much shade coverage either so wear suncream if it's a sunny day! My daughter left with a big smile on her face and went to the gift shop which was really reasonably priced compared to other zoo's or animal parks!
We went for the capybara experience which was brilliant! Fred and Pebbles were a joy and Ella their keeper was super well informed and clearly loved what she does. It does suit smaller kids, my 15 year old stuck out like a sore thumb :) but it's an incredible setting, the staff are wonderful and the animals are relaxed and so well cared for. I wish I'd found it when my kids were small.
Lovely visit, Animals well looked after and a really nice Restaurant and really friendly Staff. You can also handle the smaller Animals at specific times. All in all a Fantastic Family day out.
We had such a lovely day on a Capybara experience with Pebbles, Fred and human Liv who was awesome. It was a lovely hands on experience with as much petting, patting and photographing of the Capybara as you could want. We had a lovely explore of Chew Valley Animal Park, fed some hungry goats, saw some piglets, handled a guinea pig and bunny.... And got to hang out with a beautiful mouse. Really lovely day out and the staff were all super friendly.
