Chichester Cathedral is a stunning Norman edifice that seamlessly blends historical grandeur with contemporary touches. As a place of worship for the Church of England, it offers a serene and spiritual atmosphere that is welcoming to all. One of the cathedral's most striking features is the beautiful Marc Chagall stained glass window, which adds a splash of vibrant color and modern artistry to the ancient stone structure. This window alone is worth the visit, as it brilliantly captures Chagall's unique style and vision. The cathedral offers free guided tours, which are highly recommended. The knowledgeable and friendly guides provide fascinating insights into the cathedral's rich history, architectural features, and the various artworks housed within. Their passion and expertise greatly enhance the visitor experience. For those looking to relax and enjoy some refreshments, the cathedral's cafe offers a delightful selection of food and beverages. The ambiance is perfect for a leisurely break, and the quality of the offerings is excellent. Additionally, the gift shop is a treasure trove of unique items and souvenirs. Whether you're looking for a meaningful keepsake or a special gift, the shop provides a wonderful selection of books, jewelry, and other items that reflect the cathedral's heritage and beauty. Overall, Chichester Cathedral is a must-visit destination. It combines historical significance, artistic beauty, and warm hospitality, making it a place that leaves a lasting impression on all who visit.

Beautiful cathedral to visit and the town as well. Cathedral inside and outside, you can enjoy a walk around and also appreciate the great architecture. I've attached quite a few pictures those can help visitors to have an idea of the place. Visited with a local friend who took us to the "treasure hunt trail". It was fun and a great way of exploring the town and quite a few tourists' places one can easily miss. There's a gift shop in the high street called "Between the lines" my friend always buys their special soaps, if someone particularly is fond of heaving variety.

Absolutely gorgeous medium-sized cathedral in such a beautiful city - free as well which is amazing. Originally a Norman building which you can see a lot in the nave but with gothic windows, vaults, aisles and a lot more. Unfortunately no way of getting up to the triforium or up the tower, but you can see the triforium well from the ground. A few more modern features like the altar tapestry and the font are refreshing in a cathedral - the tapestry is a gorgeous splash of colour. The bell tower is really interesting, the west front deserved a lot more credit - hadn't even seen a picture before visiting. The cloisters are worth a little walk and the cafe does some good food - had a lovely ciabatta. The Roman mosaic in the floor is pretty and interesting, and the spire is gorgeous from outside. The best views of the cathedral are from the Bishop's Palace Gardens.

Wonderful historical cathedral in beautiful and clean city. You can find car park near the cathedral, walk around and visit inside as well. It's free to visit and you can donate small amounts of money.

The cathedral is absolutely breathtaking, unfortunately I didn't go inside the cathedral but walked around but did manage to walk around the open walk around inside...I definitely will be going back...they only ask for a suggested PS3 donation when you go in
