Had a fantastic tour with Charlie on the mischief, highly recommend this experience. While the tide was a bit high (hiding much of the wildlife), the weather was fantastic and the water was calm enough we could go fairly far out. We saw a few dolphins (including 2 babies), some bobbing seal heads from a distance, a large flock of birds, and some absolutely amazing views. As we went along Charlie shared information about the surrounding landmarks, different wildlife, and the history of the region. Incredibly interesting, engaging, and exciting! We even picked up speed toward the end as the boat seemed to transform into a little racer as we banked and bounced along the waves. Logistically, they provide full-body jacket suits for the ride on mischief to ensure you stay fairly dry and insulated. Make sure to arrive 30 minutes early to attend the safety talk and find a suit that fits you. My suggestions if you go: wear sturdy shoes and consider bringing some gloves (hands went a bit numb with the wind). Besides the ride experience, George was lovely helping us load on to and off the boat! Even made sure to take photos of each group together when we first got on. Folks here clearly love their job, their community, and sharing this with others. This was definitely a highlight of our trip! Honestly, we'll go again if we're ever back in Inverness because even if we hadn't seen dolphins (which we knew was entirely possible), it was an incredibly enjoyable and exciting river tour with a knowledgeable, interesting, and well spoken guide -- which I particularly got to enjoy sitting in the back. Anyway, you should book the mischief ride! Do it!

We went on a boat trip with Gus. It was fantastic! Although we didn't see any dolphins, we had a wonderful time. Make sure you arrive 30 minutes before departure. They will give you a short safety briefing, explain what you can expect, and provide you with the proper equipment. You will get a full body suit that you can wear over your clothes, binoculars, and glasses. The Rib boat goes about 25 knots. This is fast but not scary fast. Gus really did his best to try to find any dolphins but unfortunately they were not there. We saw a lot of seals and birds though. The boat trip itself was also awesome! I highly recommend this place!

Disclaimer, we were very very lucky. Almost an hour of having a good view of the dolphins and them jumping and swimming beside the boat. We were on the RIB and had a blast! and We had a really nice tour guide who told us facts about the dolphins and seals. You dont always get to see wild animals but we were lucky an we did! :)

Unfortunately no dolphins on our trip however. Still a nice relaxing boat trip with spectacular views. Plenty of complimentary binoculars to borrow while aboard. Hot drinks and snacks available. Free car parking at the site.

Great trip! The guide knew exactly what to look out for and meant we saw two huge pods of dolphins up close. We also saw seals and many sea birds. Fantastic experience.

It was simply amazing. Despite the fact we were informed by the team that there might be no dolphins, thanks to the experience of our guide we were lucky to see seals and dolphins. We definitely didn't regret booking it. It would have been an interesting excursion without dolphin spotting, but so it became the highlight of our visit to inverness.
