Inverness Botanic Gardens was smaller than I had imagined, or than other cities. However it is a series of beautiful greenhouses and the installations and variety are beautiful. There is a cafe on site, a reasonable amount of parking out the front and the gardens are free to enter. They encourage donations to support the maintenance of the garden.
A delightful set of gardens, tropical, herbal, floral, compact layout on a smaller scale than other gardens, but lots to see and enjoy. Plenty of places to sit and relax, a little cafe and facilities, staff happy to answer any questions you have on for a and flora, we spent a good hour walking around, and enjoyed every minute. Plenty of parking, at reasonable price, entrance fees are free but donations suggested, excellent place to visit if travelling through Inverness and want a rest from driving.
Great small exhibition of plants from around the world. Indoor and outdoor areas are well organized. Beautiful flowers in both areas and excellent surrounding grounds with more flowering wild flowers.
If you are in Inverness, I highly recommend to go here and check it. It is not far away from the city centre and you can take a nice walk through parks/forest. It is free, you can give a donation.
