Resting place for 3 of Ireland's Saints. This is the last resting place if St Patrick. The original cathedral was restored 200 years ago to best represent its predecessor. A must visit.

Visited here to tick a box.. Not religious and will keep views on religion to myself. Place is clean, well kept and a pleasant visit. The grave of St Patrick is ready to access from the road but persons with mobility difficulty will find issues with some steps. When I went there was plenty of parking when for a motorhome and not to busy a site considering the claimed grave of Ireland's patron saint.

The grave of the three patron saints of Ireland is here, marked by a granite slab and a small, nondescript plaque. Such an important heritage site for the people of Ireland should be properly marked and an acknowledgement of its cultural importance should be installed.

The final resting place of st Patrick and a beautiful cathedral inside and out

Downpatrick Cathedral claims the grave of Saint Patrick. The neo-Gothic cathedral is impressive and contains some fine stained glass. Some of the pieces seem to be the creations of Harry Clarke and/or his school. Saint Patrick does not wear green in the windows here which is a welcome break from shamrock. There is a lot of history attached to this place and it is well presented. The curators are discrete, friendly and welcoming. They have the balance right on Place-of-Prayer v. Public Museum. Visiting the grave of Saint Patrick is alone worth the detour from the A1
