it's a small zoo, but for just PS9 or 3x less than an actual zoo, it's worth it. Depending and how much you enjoy the animals there, you can spend here early over 2.5 hours. I highly recommend making it for all the talks, but mostly 12 pm otter feeding. It was just hilarious. If you are lucky enough, you can see red Lemur feeding, which wasn't official and mine was at about 12:30. I really appreciate the volunteers with animals there to tell you about them and letting you touch the snake or a guinea pig. And their miniature horse Dodger was just adorable. I don't want to make it too here here,so I am going to say I really really recommend a visit. Even their cafe / restaurant isn't too dear!!

For a small little wildlife park, we had a lovely few hours! The staff were very friendly and at the time of our visit they had some snakes out of their cages, 1 of which you were able to touch. My little ones absolutely loved it! They also enjoyed feeding some the animals, the goats were a big hit! There is a good range of animals to see, all of which were milling about in their enclosures or you could see them in their houses. The paths in parts were muddy, which is to be expected after the wet weather we've been having. Just make sure you've got sensible footwear on! The small dinosaur museum on site was interesting and the kids enjoyed having a look around. Overall, we had great time at the Exotic Zoo!

This was our first visit and we loved it. The animals are all lovely and very well looked after. You can get the chance to stroke some animals and all staff are great and really friendly. There is lots of seating to have your lunch and a gift shop too. Would definitely recommend. Also wheelchair friendly which we needed.

We've been here twice now and it's honestly a lovely little zoo. Takes us about 3 hours to go around and take part in the short animal talks and handling sessions. This visit the kids got to experience the chameleon talk, the bearded dragons talk (they could stroke him at the end) and the mini beasts talk and craft activity (they handled a millipede and then made pipe cleaner dragonflies). The guy who delivered all the talks was brilliant during the course of the day he learnt all the kids names and when they arrived at each talk he remembered each one of them and really made them feel special. Just wandering around the zoo we also got to pet a tortoise, a guinea pig and a corn snake. The highlight for me were the armadillos and the marmosets absolutely fascinating to watch them so up close. The cost to get in is a fraction of the cost of other zoos and so worth it. The animals all look well cared for, the enclosures seem adequate (to my very basic knowledge of the animals needs obviously) and the staff all seemed very passionate about the animals. Parking outside is ample but does cost and requires a smart phone to scan a QR code. There's a small gift shop and cafe. Plenty of picnic benches in the zoo which you can eat your own food at. The toilets are awful that would be my only negative. They stink and are very dirty and untidy. Loads of hand washing stations around the zoo itself which is great. It's also nice to team up with a trip into Telford park (loads of play areas in there for all ages). Plus a walk into Telford town centre which is only 10 minutes from the zoo car park and you can have a bite to eat. There's a hungry horse, Bella Italia, pizza express, loads of eateries. Truly a wonderful day out and we will be back!!

What a fantastic time we had today at exotic zoo, my daughter was brought a cold blooded handling experience for her birthday she was given the choice of animals she wanted in her experience, she then got VIP treatment after the zoo had closed with a brilliant zoo keeper called Jacob! Jacob went through each animal with her with great detail making it very informative and fun for my daughter we then had an extra treat at the end when she got to feed the crocodile. I would definitely recommend this experience and a massive thank you to Jacob for such a great time!

My husband and I were given an experience here, so I can't comment on the price. The zoo is quite small, although bigger than I thought it might be. There are lots of different animals, many I'd never seen before, and one or two I'd not even heard of! It took us about 45 minutes to wander around all of the enclosures. I think we went at a good time - mid-March, mid-week, midday, and outside of school holidays! The experience we had was with armadillos. It was a gift through Redletter Days. We could choose our preferred day and time with the zoo, communicating by email. The experience with the armadillos was amazing. I love most animals, but armadillos had never really been one I'd be crazy about seeing. After this experience, I may have changed my mind! They were so lovely. We got to hold a 3-banded atmadillo and feed the two 6-banded armadillos. They were much more adorable than I'd imagined. The young man (Jack) who led the experience was very lovely. He made the experience fun, interesting, and informative. The Jungle Cafe was nice. I find many zoo cafes aren't up to much, but this one was. It was clean and spacious, drinks and snacks were fairly reasonably priced, and the people were also lovely. The zoo is a little out of the way. We got to Telford on public transport, then a taxi from Telford Station. The taxi driver said he didn't know this zoo existed! We did walk back to the station, which took about 25 minutes. The zoo itself has quite good accessibility in most areas as it is level with wide walking areas. It does get muddy, though. Anywhere that isn't flat is accessible by ramps. If it wasn't for taking well over 2 hours to get there from where I live, it'd certainly be somewhere I'd visit more often in the future!
