Popped in with family and friends during the summer holidays. Nice grounds (some very unusual apple trees) and the interior of the Cathedral is stunning. It was nice to be able to explore the Catherdral and there are several stairs that lead up to even more interesting areas. One of the staircases is a bit narrow so on busier days there will probable be a bit of a wait.

Best. Place. Ever. Absolutely love this place, and it was fun to walk around, finding all the spots that had been used in the Harry Potter movies. Best thing - you can bring your dog with you!!

An immensely peaceful home of warm welcomes, beautiful organ music, history, Harry Potter indulgence, and awe-inspiring architecture. We were able to visit the main cathedral (ground level and upper levels) and cloisters (of Hogwarts fame). A gift shop and cafe are available (with delicious coffees and scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream). We were at Gloucester Cathedral for almost 2 hours. We loved our visit and will definitely return.

Beautiful Cathedral at the centre of Gloucester. Three floors that are accessible to all. The windows and halls are large and very great to see. Free entry, but donations are appreciated. There are also tours you can book when inside where you can learn a lot about the history.

We made a special trip to Gloucester on a Sunday specifically to visit the cathedral. Ensure you know the visitation times. We expected to wait after Sunday morning service but even later on the day we were being asked to visit after 4 pm. I'm incredibly glad we did not give up! Spending over an hour at Gloucester Cathedral was an awe-inspiring experience. The magnificent architecture, with its soaring ceilings, intricate marble work, and stunning stained glass windows, left me utterly captivated. The cathedral's beauty and historical significance make it an absolute must-see for any visitor to Gloucester (not just Harry Potter fans). It is truly breathtaking interior with fascinating history, and peaceful atmosphere. There are informative displays and few (clearly knowledgeable) guides who were happy to answer questions. PS5 voluntary donation per person is more than fair, as it helps maintain this architectural gem. The cathedral's inclusive approach, allowing visitors to explore without a mandatory fee, is commendable. Gloucester Cathedral with awe-inspiring beauty and welcoming atmosphere make it a true gem in the heart of Gloucester.

The cathedral is beautiful, lost to see and do. You can easily lose 4-5 hours with the entire family. Not very attractive for little kids but they can enjoy the experience as well.
