Buy tickets in advance, it is cheaper but you still need to queue up. We went on a sunny Saturday and it still wasn't too busy. Plenty of parking just a bit of a trek to the entrance. Loads of animals to see. Beautiful zoo with flowers and natural looking spaces. The exhibits were great. I would recommend going to the talks as they were well informed and engaging. The facilities are great, kept clean and regularly available. Pram and wheelchair friendly. Great food. Excellent day out for everyone at a budget friendly price for the full day of activities.

It is quite expensive, as the animals there are mainly the smaller animals. The only large animals there were the tiger, leopard, zebra and Camel. They should have family deals or prices reduced. As with a bit more you could go to a wildlife Safari instead. Can get around to seeing all the animals in 3 hrs. Which left plenty of time to spend in the water park area. The water area is a bit of a disappointment, could have deeper water, and maybe like sprinklers or bucket drop water play. It is quite small. However the kids enjoyed it, spent 2hrs here, and it was a great way to cool off. They also have an indoor soft play area, and two large playground areas, so to end the day the kids spent in the playground 1hr. It is better suited for kids under 9. But it was good to spend time with the family.

What a wonderful place. Visited with our friends & their 2 disabled children. Had an amazing day enjoying the World of Dinosaurs & World of Animals. Very busy later in the day but plenty of space for all to enjoy this amazing zoo. Lots of food/ice cream/drinks outlets at very reasonable prices. e.g. a bowl of skin-on fries was PS2.40. Loads of photo opportunities. Several gift shops selling all the usual soft toys etc. also tucked away is the lovely Conservation Shop which sell more unusual gifts. The staff were brilliant and the kids loved meeting the dinosaurs (Stage show) Lots of places to sit & picnic with shaded areas to get out of the sun. Plenty of free parking & a dedicated area for Blue Badges which was great for our wheelchair access. Would recommend this place to young & old.

A truly magical zoo that has changed dramatically over the years that it has been open. The new bear and jaguar exhibit is amazing and should definitely be visited as well as the gibbon and tiger enclosure. You can listen to some of the brilliant talks and watch the animals fed as well.

Hi, I enjoyed visiting the zoo today in this lovely weather. The atmosphere is very calm and amazing animals onsite. The world of dinosaurs was astonishing as well. They have great facilities, such toilets, play area for kids, Zoo shop etc. Thank you for your service. Take care and I recommend coming here if you want to visit with kids and explore during summer especially.

We visited Hertfordshire zoo for my birthday as my partner had purchased a 'Tickle a Tapir' experience for me. The zoo itself is quite small and a lot of the cafe's, ice-cream shops etc were shut which was not great especially as it was really warm. The animals however all looked well cared for. The Tapir experience was out of this world, they are my favourite animal!! The keeper was very knowledgeable and explained everything to us. Tim and Tamara, the Tapir's were very obliging and happily lay on their sides for us to tickle and scratch them all over. It was the best birthday present ever. If you happen to like Tapir's this experience is for you, you won't regret it.
