We love this nostalgic experience. Children and adults all having the best time. The volunteers are amazing....really knowledgeable and helpful and ready to ask any questions about the trains and railway. The station at Tenterden is well worth a trip. It's like going back in time and has a great museum. If you can get the train to Bodiam, you can combine your trip with a visit to the spectacular 14th century moated castle there. All in all a wonderful wholesome experience!

Was a very nice day out and they had a lot to see along the way. The only thing I would say is book online as the prices are different and we had to pay nearly PS80 for a family ticket on the day with kids with us we could not say no after all the excitement. The cafe is nice as well and bodium castle you get a 10% off with the tickets , we just went round the outside but there was a nice cafe there as well.

Last minute visit, Had visited the old dairy tap house for a drink and a Steam train was waiting in the station! What's not to like. Bought a couple of tickets and we were off . Beautiful ride though the Kent and Sussex countryside to Bodiam. Walk to the castle and to the pub ,Then returned. Fantastic way to spend a spring day.

It's likely you'll start your steam adventure in Tenterden, at the other end of the line, but Bodiam is a pleasant station a short five minute walk from a country pub (The Castle Inn) and Bodiam Castle itself. Otherwise it's a fairly quiet area, so you likely won't need a whole day here. If you found my review or photos helpful please leave a quick thumbs up Thank you!
