This was to do the roof and tower tours, something I have wanted to do for a long time. Lichfield cathedral is a stunning cathedral in wonderful surroundings. I cannot recommend the place enough. Even without the tour, to visit the site is a must. Tickets have to be booked for the official tours of the roof and towers, but not for entering and exploring the cathedral itself

Today, I visited Lichfield Cathedral and was truly impressed. The cathedral's Gothic architecture, with its three spires and intricate carvings, is stunning. Inside, the colorful stained glass windows cast beautiful light patterns, enhancing the serene atmosphere. The Lady Chapel and Chapter House are particularly captivating, offering historical insights and peaceful reflection spaces. The knowledgeable guides added depth to the visit with fascinating stories and facts. The well-maintained grounds provided a lovely setting for a relaxing walk. Overall, Lichfield Cathedral is a must-see, blending history, architecture, and tranquility perfectly. Highly recommended!

Always a lovely visit here with my toddler. He finds the sights and sounds fascinating. The volunteers are all so lovely and quick to want to tell you about the cathedral. I'm not a religious person but I do like and appreciate architecture. The volunteers do not thrown religion down your neck but talk to you about the history and remarkable building itself. You do not have to pay to go in but they would ask for a donation if you can give one, you're not made to feel like an awful person for not giving a donation. We visited a lot in the school holidays especially to use the man made beach. The lady running it was professional and friend. I found the toys in the beach shack shop to be reasonable priced and fun for the kids. Few people dis get confused about not bringing their own bucket and spades. I saw on Facebook that it says specifically to bring your own equipment not sure if more signage needs to be put around about this. It's a good way to spend an hour or so.

Nestled in the charming city of Lichfield, the Cathedral is a must visit gem, showcasing stunning Gothic architecture and magnificent stained glass windows. Currently, visitors can enjoy the captivating "Threads through Creation" exhibition. A stunning display beautifully illustrates the beginning of life and the fall from grace in the Garden of Eden, all depicted on intricate silk panels. The cathedral is conveniently located within walking distance of nice restaurants and delightful shops. Additionally, the cathedral is just a five minute walk from Beacon Park, offering pleasant surroundings and a serene atmosphere. Lichfield Cathedral is a perfect blend of historical grandeur and cultural enrichment.
