Nice zoo of many decades with vast green, land area. Not a lot of animals for the space, and some you see, some you don't. Generally, a well kept and clean zoo with activities and feed time available to witness during day. A good day out with family plus various picnic areas to use.
A lovely day for birthday treat for my granddaughter. Very hilly but lots of animals and exhibits to see. Food and beverages very expensive. But my main gripe was it is now totally contactless spending there but their website said you could still use cash so we had a very sad little girl who couldn't spend her birthday money in the gift shop
Great place to spend a day with family. You need to carry your own food so that you can treat it as a picnic day. Food and drinks very expensive. Another tip to save money is to book in advance and pay online. There was a 30 pounds difference between online and at the gate.
Really enjoy this zoo. Even when busy like today always plenty of room not to be crowded. Animals always seem well look after in large enclosures.
Took 2 of the children we childmind to Marwell over the weekend, they absolutely loved it as the variety of animals means something would keep them occupied in addition to the play parks which they loved. It's easy to take a double buggy around and lots of places to stop.
Expensive and disappointed. I know the upkeep and maintenance of the animals in Marwells care is number one priority, it looked like the animals we managed to see were, but it's a very expensive day out. Take a picnic and drinks to offset the extortionate entrance price charged and wear comfy walking shoes. We managed to spot a few of the animals but the 'natural habitat' they lived in was so dense a lot of the smaller species couldn't be seen. Saw the giraffes, rhinos, zebra as no major tree or bush growth to peer through. I know animals are a law unto themselves and won't 'appear' on request but less dense greenery might have helped. All in all though the young Grandchildren enjoyed themselves, too young to be disappointed on not seeing too many animals. Just us 'oldies' expecting to be able to see more.
