This zoo is home to over 400 animals from around the world, including some rare and endangered species. The zoo is set in 33 acres of countryside in Northumberland, northeast England, and features a variety of exhibits and enclosures that mimic the natural habitats of the animals. Some of the highlights include the African Plains exhibit, where visitors can see giraffes, rhinos, and lions roaming freely, and the South American Pampas exhibit, featuring tapirs, capybaras, and monkeys. The zoo also offers a petting zoo, a reptile house, and a walk-through aviary, as well as a play area and cafe for visitors.

Spent a good seven hours here, plenty of animals to see, plenty of things to keep small kids entertained too. The play park was a great way for them to blow off some steam and let loose! The bird show was brilliant, you are warned that the birds will not deviate from their path when flying and you must get out of their way because they will just fly right into you. One of the birds did just that to me, clipped my cap as it flew by silly me should have moved more. Really enjoyed the whole day and great value for money! Definitely will visit again.
Fab little zoo, we easily spent 5 hours here. Great variety of animals, reasonably priced entrance and foods, clean and tidy environment. If the animals were hiding the first time round, we managed to see them the second time, so definitely be patient. No complaints from us, except a minor one, that it was hard to get good photos of some of the animals through the mesh. The armadillo were definitely a highlight for me!
A brilliant day out with staggered entry times to help avoid large queues. A large selection of animals with a well laid out plan for getting round . A couple of short slopes may be a bit harder for pushchair or wheelchair users but there are shortcuts. An added bonus for me is a good display of tractors, bonus
Friendly warm welcome on arrival. Wide range of animals. Especially enjoyed walking into the lemur enclosure and the kangaroo enclosure, amazing experience seeing them up close. Lovely cafe. Great day out! ( save money by purchasing tickets online than at the door )
Great family day out. Under 5s free cost us PS43 for 2 adults. Great range of animals which looked very healthy and happy. It was a well presented and maintained zoo. It has a cafe for food and drinks. Indoor and outdoor play areas for children and a lovely gift shop.
We loved our visit here. The staff were friendly and helpful and there is a surprisingly large number of animals to see from cockroaches to snow leopards. We watched the birds of prey flying exhibition and enjoyed the feeding of the snow leopards. The best part was the lemur walk where one of the lemurs licked my toes. There is a lovely cafe and also places to eat a picnic. We thought we would be there for a couple of hours but we're there for 4 hours and didn't have lunch. We could have easily made a day if it if we had children as there is an outside adventure playground and an indoor soft play.
