A moderate walk/hike with a steep incline at one point. However it's worth it when you see serene views of the entire expanse of greenery. Free glimpses of farm life along the way, spotted horses, cows and hens. It was also bluebell season and it looked ethereal. Took closer to 3hrs cos we stopped for a break halfway through and we also took lots of photos

I have walked the Otford circular on a few occasions, and I always enjoy taking the in the breathtaking scenery of this quaint village and the countryside beyond. Otford has it own claims to fame, including a former royal palace, the largest model of the solar system in Europe, and the smallest grade 1 listed in the UK, I will give you a clue. It's in the duck pond. The walk also takes you through the villages of Shoreham and Eynesford.

A lovely walk through mixed woodland, fields and acres of meadow covered in wild flowers and butterflies. Just a couple of steep climbs including the notorious 145 earth and timber steps, and equally steep descents. From the highest point I was surprised to have a clear view of Canary Wharf and The Shard in the distance. I should flag there are a couple of places where you have to walk in the road which appear to be deserted lanes until cars appear from nowhere travelling far too fast - my least favourite part of the walk. There were also bulls in a couple of fields but I ignored them and they ignored me! Could be done in under 2 hours but I paused several times to sniff the air and savour the view.

Its a tough walk in places, up the steps is a bit knackering and then further along there is a very steep section through the fields. Lots of muddy sections too that are very narrow. There are some stunning views and amazing scenery though. Bluebells are out at the mo and there is an abundance of dandelions too. We'll worth the effort and a great circular walk. It was very busy though and we had the misfortune to meet a huge group walking the other way through a very narrow section, took ages to navigate!!

This was an enjoyable trail. For anyone in good health and reasonable fitness, it's quite a straightforward walk. There are a couple of gradients but it's easy to take breaks if needed. Trail shoes, walking boots or wellies are recommended. I personally wore regular trail shoes in December 2022 and they were fine. Park in the village centre , located next to the start line. There are picnic benches near the start/finish but nothing that I could see in between. We took about 2 hours 10 minutes. It might be quicker in the summer when it's drier. Or slower when it's a bit wetter. Only a very short section of the walk is on the road.
