The Medieval Tour with Mrs Jackie (totally free) was lovely! She brought us through the most iconic places in Exeter from the city center to the Quay with very clearly explanations. Very recommended!

Helen's Exeter New & Old Tour was wonderful today. She was friendly, engaging and kept a lovely pace. I love local history and learned so much. I can't believe it's free! I'm so pleased I attended today. Helen made my holiday! Huge thanks to her.

We came on 4 of these walks last week of July. 'Churches, Cemeteries and the Catacomb' was my favourite because Brenda had a key and let us in to see inside!!!! The others were : 'The Quay & canal boat ride', 'Ghosts & legends' 'Forgotten Exeter'. The guides were amusing, charming and knew their stuff. No need to buy tickets, just turn up.

I went on 3 of the tours, over a period of one week. 2 during the week and 1 at the weekend. All the guides were friendly and informative. It really helped with navigation around the town. We didn't realise quite how many interesting things there are to see and do in Exeter. I cannot believe the tours were free, too,(run by volunteers) although a tip was welcomed.

Interesting short tour with Jerry along the medieval buildings of Exeter. Amazing that Red Coat Guided Tours offers such a broad selection of tours, on different days of the week and without booking. We'll definitely come back for another!

This is a great way to see the city and gain a good understanding of its history. I did the Introduction to Exeter and Medieval Exeter tours with Clive and Ian. Both guides were incredibly interesting. Their passion for the city was evident, and they were able to answer questions easily while adding many fun anecdotes along the way. There's a fair amount of walking involved, but the pace is easy and there are plenty of stops, so it's quite manageable. I would definitely recommend these tours.
