We went up on a rainy day, thankfully the clouds cleared on the way down ad we were able to see the views, which were amazing. We got there early and explored the village first. Once at the top you get 30 minutes which is plenty of time to reach the summit.

A great activity to do on a trip to North Wales. A great opportunity for those who want to go to the top of Snowdon but don't want to walk. You can buy a return ticket but you will only have 30 minutes at the top. We went up with a one-way ticket and preferred to walk on the way back. It took 2.5 hours to get down. When the weather is nice you will see great views. There is a coffee shop at the top, halfway to the top and at the start station. *The descent is rocky and slippery so shoes should be chosen correctly.

At the time of our visit, there was not a full trip to the summit, which was unfortunate. Technically you can continue hiking up to the summit, but you are only given 30 min before the train leaves back down, and unless you plan hiking down, you cannot take a later train (which leaves no time for the hike up). There are some great views from this 'midpoint' and the trail looks clean and well-kept for those wanting more exercise! Still enjoyed our time . There is a gift shop at the base with some fun things inside too!

Amazing experience, we took the 4.30pm diesel service to snowdon yesterday. Planned and organised entry to train, everyone had good view, well informed drivers. It was really good. We loved the ride, and our 6 year old wanted to go again. The gift shop was nice. Tickets must be bought in advance and must arrive at the station to collect the tickets well in advance. It can get really busy.

Scenic train ride to the top of famous snowdon mountain. One hour slow train ride along the most spectacular views of the area. Live guides on the way. 30 mins time to get down, reach the top most area , have some hot dri ks or food in the cafe, and back in the same train if booked return ticket. Good for families with kids as walking to the top is said to be five miles and will take around 3 hours one way. Need to pre book tickets on site as they will be sold out, especially holidays. It's colder in the top, even in a sunny day. Sometimes fog can obstruct the view towards evenings, so it is better to go on early trains of the day. The official parking place is small and can be full. Parking in the front of the station is charged for a full day, but a reduced rate after 3 pm.

What an incredible feet of engineering! When you take into account when the line was built it's truly remarkable. We went on a cloudy day but was so lucky as we carved through the mountains passes and cut through and above the cloud.. Don't be put off by bad weather the line and experience alone is great, we did the return ticket but we walked down because it was the right thing to do The train is clean the staff are so friendly and welcoming and there is a little restaurant both ends for those that need nibbles. Don't plan just go and enjoy your life
