Spent a lovely few hours exploring Stafford Castle whilst out on the motorbike yesterday. A lovely, well maintained site, great facilities, lots to see and do and fantastic value! Well, it's free access and parking! Can't recommend highly enough as history should be accessible to all and not just a priveledged few (take note English Heritage!) I enjoyed a coffee and ice cream from the visitors centre before leaving. Staff were lovely and I duly left a donation before getting on the road. Thanks to everyone that helps run and maintain this lovely site.

Cracking place. We arrived when it was shut. Check their website for details. However we had a mooch and a picnic with the kids. Super views on a clear day! Nice walk in the forest as well.

Fantastic grounds open most of the day for walks. It's a steep climb up to the castle but worth it for the sit down to get your breath and look at the views. Even though a lot of it has been rebuilt there's not a lot of the castle left but what is there is okay and it's free entry.

Went here for the viking event, free entry which was amazing for the kids. Prices were ok given there was an event on. Would definitely recommend for a cheap day out with the kids.

A beautiful area we love coming for a walk and an explore, there is usually ample parking, there are toilets including a disabled and you can get a coffee if the gift shop is open.
