A stunning remote place. Off the usual route. A beautiful place with winding roads, incredible scenery and lovely walks. Plus you will see some wildlife if you're lucky.

Got sent over this mountain by mistake (thanks Google maps). To say my mouth dried up driving this is an understatement, without exception some of the scariest trails I've driven. Most of the roads I found myself on were single track with both wing mirrors getting battered and in places the roads or really unmade tracks were borderline impassable. Add to this I'm driving a lwb sprinter campervan with nowhere to turn round plus in places along the route there's sheer drops off the side of the trail, with remnants of what's left of the old fencing, (after all it is a mountain), made for quite an exhilarating trip back to Langollen. Other than the smell of cooked brakes and clutch, the views (which are spectacular up at the top) took my mind off the constant worry of getting down the other side without encountering another vehicle coming the other way. Never have I been so glad to get to the Aldi on Berwyn Street......................

A doozy, people say you can hike up there. But i saw no signs and just drove around tiny country roads. Fun experience and excellent views, but do your research and have enough spare time to hike up there as there are no directions as such.

Some footpaths have faded and a couple signs gone missing, but we'll worth the effort and amazing views.
