From the outside the cathedral is quite impressive but the interior is incredible. The detailed architectural designs, stunning stained glass and intricate carvings are just superb. Unlike many other similar buildings almost everything here is accessible. Really worth a visit and popping something in the donation box at this free to visit historical site.
This is an ancient cathedral that you can visit for free. It has lots of useful information boards to explain about the history and background to what you can see. It includes the tomb of King John of England.
Very beautiful building. Disabled access throughout the toilets they are also very clean and accessible. The cafe was very popular so we went elsewhere. But will return to try it out Staff very friendly and helpful too If you can't afford a donation on entry you are still made to feel very welcome.
Wow. Truly awesome in every way. The sense of history in this building is incredible, and the sense of prayer and praise throughout the ages is palpable. I've never been to Worcester Cathedral before; but found myself treading peacefully throughout the space, feeling safe and utterly in awe of our protector God. Many thanks to the organist giving a lunchtime recital, offering glorious music vibrating through my feet and my soul. I was surprised to find I'd spent three hours in the Cathedral, a much needed break in a long journey. Thank you to everyone who stewards this building past, present and future.
Cathedral in city centre. No entry fee, donation accepted. Beautiful large cathedral with stained glass windows and high ceiling. Basement crypt viewable. Accessible medium sized garden into the middle of the cathedral. Tour guides and Tower walks available at certain times.
Beautiful stained glass windows. Crypt was fascinating. Toilets out of way, mum had a walker so was a long trek. Interesting that King John is buried there.
