Once a year this museum is open to the public. A good 5 min drive via a private long winding road road. Entry was PS5. Huge space, mostly flat and easy access. The museum is spread over quite a few small buildings. All on ground floor bar one small section that goes up a short flight of stairs. Interesting history especially for Glenn Miller fans. There is a Twinwoods festival weekend at the end of August for camping but also day access. Nice NAAFI cafe area with good strong tea & instant coffee. Basic toilet facilities. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Worth a visit.
Long walk up from Clapham village but worth every step. Beautiful show cave that you walk through and end up 500 metres under ground. Low ceilings in places but hard hats provided so all good. Staff friendly and on hand for questions and queries. Amazing formations of stalagmites and stalactites and the different colours formed by the different elements in the water's. Little shop with basic souvenirs and refreshments.
What a lovely experience, long nature trail past a lake and along the river to the caves. Quite a steep climb but worth it for the views along the way and we went in the show cave too . Brilliant but little legs will tire quickly as it's a long walk that goes up a long way too.
A good tour definitely worth doing if your in the area
A fantastic green space perfect for a relaxing stroll or a picnic. The amenities are excellent, including a basketball court, cafe and a lovely pond. A great spot to unwind and enjoy nature!
Never knew this green space existed as it's at the top of the allotments. Enclosed area, great for toddlers as a few wooden animal sculptures and future picnics. A little tired but has potential for more :)
