A surprise find of this great memorial to some even greater men. A never forgotten generation. Saw the props just poking above the wall as I cycled by from the west...otherwise I would have missed it. Next time I pass I will bring a small trowel and take out some more of the grass shoots that are growing out of the steps. Pulled as many as I could up by hand. Perhaps others could do the same.
A fun tour with Carly yesterday! Took us to great sights, lots of facts and info and fun presentation. Would just say a little pricey for the tour but enjoyed it all the same. Took some photos of some places along the way Thanks Carly - you were brilliant!
It's nice to walk in this place. It's a circular path, and not too long, probably 2 miles, about 1 hour stopping like 5x. Do stop at the reedbed hide, it's the best view. Free parking for RSPB members, otherwise pay by phone, or cash at the box near the welcome hut.
Very nice hidden treasure only found by accident. Lovely place to walk dogs & just relax & enjoy the scenery.
Absolutely beautiful outside recreation area. Loads of green space for walking around. Lovely climbing frame for the younger kids, and a few swings. Has couple of ball courts one for basketball / football and one for tennis. It's in a great location close to shops, 5mij walk from train sation, bus stops nearby.
Great for dogs! With the horizon you can see any bikes, dogs, walkers, before you need to call them back. Loads of space for dogs to run about. A place we visit often
