The 108 Steps are a historic staircase of 108 steps leading up to St. Michael's Church in Macclesfield, Cheshire. The steps, which date back to the 18th century, are a prominent local landmark and offer stunning views of the town from the top.
A great day out. Disabled access still remains an issue so I can't give 5 stars. I feel they are missing a trick not having a gift shop half way up. One for fans of everything step/stair related. Will go again. ;-)
Excellent little park to go to for your dinner or just sit and take in the view of the railway and surrounding area, there are views over to the hills that has a road that would lead you to Buxton, an artist's paradise.
10/10, steps good, no landings and steps shallow but good exercise. No disabled access I'm afraid.
Just a number of steps nothing more to it.
