The Hengistbury Head Land Train offers a beautiful way to explore the stunning landscapes of Hengistbury Head. The one-way ride, approximately 15-20 minutes, provides picturesque views and a relaxing experience. However, the last train back at 5 PM limits the exploration window.Suggestion: During the summer, extending the operational hours beyond 5 PM would enhance the experience, allowing visitors to enjoy the scenic beauty during the later part of the day. Overall, a delightful ride, but longer operating hours could make it even more enjoyable.
Lovely place and dogs allowed all year. You can walk or take the land train to Mudford which is where the photos where taken
It's ok to get to the beach and beach hut side of Hengistbury Head. The land train is a bit pricey if you use it often, having written that, You can take a pet dog on the train for a very reasonable 20p.
Was able to walk right round the head on the beach, absolutely beautiful.
Great day out for all .hengistbury head is a beautiful place
Just been for a lovely walk around this area, met the land train coming the other way, brilliant idea for kids and those unable to walk but the fumes from the exhaust were seriously bad!! I'm a petrolhead, love my cars etc so I'm not some environmentalist on a mission, but it was choking... seriously bad. Surely an old milkfloat as a base would be better?
Wheelchair-accessible car park
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Good for kids
