Nice ride near a lake. And there's a wee castle on small island in the middle
Lochindorb is quite remote ( between Dava and Grantown) but most lochs are. It is also quite open to the elements with no trees to protect it from the wind. The castle is not far from the shoreline but you'll need a boat of some kind to get there. The road which goes past the loch is narrow but there are plenty of passing places. There sure only a few parking areas and they are not really suitable for low cars.
Stunning in all weathers always worth a walk around, popular with history buffs, birdwatchers, wild swimmers & fishermen alike let the loch of troubles take your troubles away with leisurely day spent around its shoreline
Absolutely stunning views. The road is narrow with passing places but there are some places to pull off the road safely for a leg stretch and photos.
Great place to swim as long as it's not windy. It's quite exposed so picks up every bit of wind. Perfect on a calm day. Out and round the old castle is about 1km.
It's the best place for pike fishing and the most opened area is suitable for bird watchers and due to Scottish heathers the place is attractive to the tourist for its extraordinary purple colour.
