This 19th-century park features beautifully landscaped gardens, a tranquil lake, and walking trails that invite exploration. The park's centerpiece is the stunning Abbey House, a restored Victorian mansion that now serves as a museum and event space. Visitors can admire the building's intricate architecture, explore its ornate rooms, and learn about the region's history and culture. The surrounding gardens are equally impressive, with vibrant flowerbeds, mature trees, and picturesque views of the surrounding countryside.
Beautiful small park with a flat, circular walk. Interesting 'ice house' archaeological feature. Wildlife aplenty to spot. Love it and visit frequently. Toilets are newly updated and much nicer to use. Right by town centre too, so easy to grab lunch.
Was only here for a little play! Cute park, sand pit, swings for big and small children. lovely paths for a walk around. Plenty of benches for a picnic. Dont think there are any toilets
Beautiful and so picturesque lovely ducks and Geese and a Swan.
Such a beautiful park, lots of open space, a lake with ducks/swans and a woodland area. When visiting Cirencester (Oct '23) this park was a beautiful place to walk with the dogs in the early evening! Historical Roman Town wall and Roman Abbey remains to view too!!
This is a beautiful place with a picturesque view from all angles. A lake full of water birds lots of grass, benches places to sit and soak up the views. Flowers poppies wild flowers trees and most importantly a clean tidy park to enjoy. The Abbey Grounds Park is my favourite kind of place with lots to see and loads of space to walk and sit with a picnic or walk the dog. Plus a great outdoor learning play area for youngsters.
An enormous green space with some flowerbeds and many trees. Dogs north of the water must be on a lead, but south of it, apparently not. Signs are many, officious and threatening and occasionally conflicting. Popular place in warm weather, there's also a kids playground at the north end.
