Enjoyed our visit here. The prices are good for children and adults. The museum is interesting for both kids and adults. There is plenty to see and read. There are multiple activities and almost the whole museum is interactive. Sadly two machines were broken which looked quite interesting but it didn't ruin the day. They have a cafe with a good choice of food and drinks. Additionally there is an outside area where children can play. The museum isn't the largest but we spent about 2-3 hours there because of us wanting to try everything and read about everything.
We took my 6yo son for a visit here over the Easter holidays. It wasn't to busy. There are lots of interactive displays for children and adults to explore. The garden is abite disappointing as many of the activities are broken. But if your child is of school age I would recommend as it gets them interested and allows them to perform some STEM activities.
Very interactive and amazing for children from 3 till 12 yrs old: We stayed in for 1.5 hours since they had so much fun.
We have the 12 months stem passport and its makes up for even going just once a month (freenfor under 3, PS28 for a child 3+ and PS64 for adult for the whole year). I home school so its a great resource and we usually go around once a week. There is a lot to keep the kids occupied from a robot which you can control, different open ended toys and structures, lot of science displays for testing and nature displays that come regularly. I highly recommend for younger kids at least mine are all 5 and under
Really great price, so many activities, absolutely well worth a visit - great for ALL ages! A gem in the highlands. Would love to see more like it!
This is a lovely and engaging place, and the people working here clearly care about it. From the vibrant and consistent colour patterns to the general cleanliness of the place, there is a concerted effort to make a nice and welcoming destination that reveals scientific exploration and discovery to be exciting and wondrous. If you have kids who are at all interested in science, please take them here. The center was somewhat more kid-focused than I expected, and the gift shop was a little small, so please take that into consideration. Yet overall, this is a welcoming and vibrant place to stimulate the curiosity of visitors of all ages. An eagerness and enthusiasm soaks the entire location, from the displays to the striking interior design to the people who work here.
