Aldenham Country Park is a not-for-profit farming, food, Rural Care and education enterprise. We aim to enhance the countryside, care for wildlife and farm ecologically. Visit 100 acres of beautiful countryside, only 12 miles from central London. Enjoy the scenery, walks, explore the farm and 100 Aker Wood, home of Pooh Bear and friends. We offer seasonal events on the Farm, camping, exclusive glamping, education and group trips.
Lovely affordable farm with a lovely Winnersh the Pooh trail and some great play areas for different ages. Animals are well cares for and friendly. Peaceful little day out. Plenty to do & not too overcrowded.
The farm was welcoming, ok mix of animals and my daughter loved the animal petting experience, the host was great at ensuring everyone got a turn and showed all the animals. The added extras of Winnie the poo and the bear hunt was fun, didn't have to pay more for it as well which is a plus. The reservoir was a bit too long of a walk for us after doing the farm but we did love the walk in the forest. There is a bouncy castle for the kids which didn't cost extra, another good thing for the park. What I don't agree with, is tearing down a play park to build another and charge for it...just my opinion and I'm sure some people will disagree. My daughter also did the pony ride, is was around 9 quid for 3 and half minutes it was advertised but I think she was on for a bit longer and the ladies that were looking after the ponies were friendly and good with kids. It was pricey but worth it as it was the first time my daughter got on a pony, she was very happy.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting this location and was extremely pleased with the experience I had. It is an ideal destination for families, nature lovers and anyone who wants to relax in an authentic rural environment. One of the first things that caught my attention was the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and willing to provide information and guidance, which makes the visit even more enjoyable. The animal farm is well maintained and the animals are visibly well cared for. Visitors have the opportunity to interact with a variety of domestic animals such as sheep, goats, cows, pigs, and poultry. It's a fantastic educational experience for children, who can learn about animals in a hands-on and fun way. The facilities at Aldenham Country Park are very good. There are play areas for children which are well equipped and safe. The park also has a picnic area with tables and benches, as well as a cafe where you can stock up on snacks and drinks. In conclusion, Aldenham Country Park is a wonderful destination for a day of relaxation and fun in the middle of nature. Whether you come to see the animals, take a nice walk or spend quality time with the family, this park has something for everyone. I highly recommend this location and will definitely be back!
Nice little farm within the park, pigs, cows, sheep, goats and cows. You pay extra for bags of feed and if you want to pet the animals. There are little ride on tractors and the play barn with a bouncy castle which are both free. Reasonable price, would visit again. You have to pay for parking (PS4.60 flat rate) at Aldenham country park regardless of what you do there.
PS45 for 2 adults and 4 children with animal feed to visit the farm.. wouldn't say it is "great value family day out". Most of the animals were uninterested in the feed in the early afternoon. Not much to do at all. No real tractor rides, unclean bouncy castle tucked inside. PS12 for 4 ice lollies. Would say it is an expensive day out for something we can do for free at our local farm and have the same experience.
What a fantastically organised park for walks, play for kids and picnic. Christopher Robins' 100 acher woodland wall with poo bear is one for the kids to explore.
