Skated for the first time yesterday and I can recommend the park for scooters or bmx riders, but I would not make a trip from another town if you have a skateboard because all of the park surface is a cheese grater very old concrete and full of little stones. All the ramps, banks, transitions and rails are metal and relatively new.
My dad had such a good time rolling back the years skating today, it was even lovely to see him showing off his skills in front of the kids.
