Didn't know it existed until we headed to a craft fair in Alford. It was brilliant lots if things to see from the past & war time Very interesting worth a visit.
We visited the heritage museum with our two young kids in May 2024 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very welcoming and brilliant with the kids, and we were given a sheet of items to find as well as colouring sheets to take away. The collection is huge and just seems to keep on going, with multiple rooms set up in scenes from alfords past. There are toilet facilities on site, which were clean and pleasant to use. Will definitely be going back!
This is an amazing museum. So much to see and so many items on display. A wealth of local history to read and learn about. Brought back lots of memories. Highly recommend this museum. One of the best I've ever seen.
