Located in the Scottish Highlands, Allt Chranaidh Waterfall is a breathtaking natural wonder that cascades down a rocky slope, creating a misty veil that rises into the air. The waterfall's crystal-clear waters tumble over moss-covered stones, surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant wildflowers that bloom in the summer months. As the water flows, it creates a soothing melody that echoes through the serene and picturesque valley, making it a haven for nature lovers and photographers alike.
Fantastic spot to stop the car and have a quick hike along to the falls! It was pretty quiet when we got there, and it looked like most people had the falls to themselves for 5-10 minutes before the next visitor would arrive. Saw some nice lichen, rocks and wildlife on the way too, for those that like that! Be aware that there is some walking over rocks required which will be better done with appropriate footwear and good knees! I wouldn't really recommend the walk for anyone with mobility issues.
Amazing place to visit, breathtaking views, been twice now it's awesome to see from the top or the bottom, both ways are very muddy though so be careful!
Great waterfall with a nice but difficult walk over rocks. You can't see it from the parking but definitely worth to take the walk.
Quite a hike from the recommended car park, there are 2 unofficial parking areas, 1 at the top and 1 at the bottom of the falls. We parked at the top one and walked across some very boggy and wet land. The view was OK, but uninspiring, would suggest viewing from the bottom would be the best option.
Probably the best waterfall I've ever been. The force from the bottom was pretty frightening.Best things in Life are free.
Great the walk to the bottom of the falls is a bit rocky so if you're not stable on your feet then not the place for you. But wow
