On a wooded riverside site that extends for nearly a mile, there's so much to explore and enjoy at Almond Valley. The old stone buildings of the watermill and byres are home to friendly farm animals and a host of pets and poultry who are introduced in regular handling sessions. Across the river, among woods and gardens, there are trampolines, pedal carts and other imaginative outdoor play. Enjoy a seasonal trailer ride or a trip on the narrow gauge railway. Indoors there's soft play and playgrounds, interactive displays and activities in the museum, and a tempting range of fresh healthy snacks in the comfort of Morag's milk bar. Rain or shine, throughout the year, there's always so much to interest and enjoy.
Very beautiful farm, kids friendly place, staff are very friendly and helpful. Amazing to spend time with family and kids. Price is fare and affordable Highly recommended!! Thanks for everyone working at Almond Valley for making our day very special and exciting!
Definitely a place for younger kids. My 11 year old was just OK for most things, but nothing was a huge challenge. Go karts were a disappointment, only 3 working. Liked the new Fort and the sliders were good. Cafe food was expensive and not a huge choice, definitely bring a picnic. Overall I think it's a great place for younger kids to enjoy.
What a great place for kids and adults. We had the best time. New parts been added to the park. Spend hours having fun.
Amazing place to play and sightsee. Tix start from PS12. Tractor ride is definitely NOT worth ur money, don't be swayed by ur kids or the queue, it's a slow ride doing a 360 of a pony pen and back... that is literally it, then they bring the miniature donkeys into a pet pen. Many animals on site such a guinea pigs, rabbits, goats, llamas, tortoise, hen, turkey, reindeer, ferrets, peacock. So many places to sit and lots to play; face painting, trampoline, swings, go karts, 'maze', mega slide, haunted castle obstacle course with slides, trolley push track. You can literally spend hours there and you still wouldn't be finished seeing everything Lots of places to buy food and eat once inside too, bringing ur own food is also welcomed, best to also bring a picnic blanket on a hot day but there is tons of seating scattered around (inside the cafe and outside)
Almond Valley is a great day out for kids, I would say most appropriate for those 8 and under. There are so many parks and so many different things to do you can easily spend hours there.
We took our kids here as a last minute day out and it was great, we look forward to returning in Easter or Summer, when the train is running, but definitely worth a day out!
