And so it was once upon a time when The Lakes Distillery was the perfect place to live alpacaly ever after! Situated on the River Derwent in a dramatic location, it is surrounded by incredible views of the northern most fells. The Lakes Distillery is the perfect place to come along and Meet The Alpacas!
I didn't book the ticket in advance. When I got there (after 1:30h by bus), there was nobody. I tried calling with no success. There were staff only at the Distillery. At least we could see the alpacas from the fence. Don't go without booking! They answer my email 2 days later.
Everything i could have wanted. Megan was an incredible guide and I had the sweetest Suri Alpaca named Scooter. Not only was it enjoyable and wholesome, it was also very informative! Very clued up on alpacas now and safe to say, I want one or three. I will definitely be back again on my next visit. This has made my whole trip! Cannot wait to see Scooter again.
An amazing experience, we managed to walk Ziggy Stardust and Dave and it was the best hour ever. The alpacas were very well behaved and enjoyed a neck rub and the staff walking with us were exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend for everyone of all ages, plus their merchandise is really cute.
Amazing experience! Well worth the money. Adorable kind cuddly alpacas. Get to meet them, pet them ,feed them . Very good explanations from the guide, she was lovely. A great experience to experience cuteness and learn more about alpacas
Stumbled upon this whilst we were looking for something to fill out afternoon - we couldn't have picked a better gem! An absolutely fantastic activity for any age group. We got up close with "the girls" fed them, pet them and taking some fab pictures. Terry was absolutely great, made sure everybody was comfortable and told us all about the alpacas - how do we change careers to this?! Would absolutely recommend - such great fun. Refreshing beer in the distillery afterwards too!
Place is a distillery and has alapaca petting/ interaction area. Only did the alpaca visit and ate at the cafe. The lady who handles the alpaca visit us lovely and engages well. Cafe food is very nice worth eating.
