Our transport museum has been open since 2001, and is getting busier and busier every year. With well over 100 vehicles, and thousands of items of motoring and household historical parafanalia, there is lots to see. If you just want some food or drink, you can also visit our large on site cafe, even if you dont have time to visit the museum. Large childrens playground also on site. The whole museum is dog friendly. Pay us a visit when you have a couple's of hours to spend. We look forward to seeing you. Last admissions are at 4pm.
It doesn't take long to understand the effort and skills put aside to set up the museum and all the exhibits. It's an outcome of love and determination. I was surprised by the number of displays and how immaculate they are. On the entrance there's a large display of antique cars, first floor you can see my favourite, sunbeam motorcycle and then the workshop and small numbers of military vehicles. Lastly a souvenir shop and cafe - restaurant.
A small but very nice museum with a very interesting collection. The staff is very friendly. We ate very tasty sandwiches in the cafe. We can only highly recommend a visit! What was curious was that the exhibited and beautifully restored Hawker Hunter was stationed very close to our home at Oldenburg Air Base many years ago.
A great morning out with lots of different vehicles with interesting information. One of our party felt the urge to dust off his motorbike licence after looking at all of the motorbikes. The chaps in the workshop were very friendly and helpful, answering our questions about some of the vehicles. The tea room is lovely with a good selection of drinks and food.
What an amazing place! Stayed at their small CL site (6 pitches) in our motorhome, very quiet and peaceful with basic amenities. But the transport museum was worth every penny of the PS10.50 ticket price. What a hidden gem. So much to see, obviously the owner's life long passion, a must visit. 5*
If you're interested in old cars, vans, bikes, military or even planes then this is a very interesting place to visit.Even if you're just tagging along you may just see a car you had from the past.We visited on a wet day and glad we did, this museum is so well layed out and it just takes you back.A slow walk round the place has you meandering around the old buses, fire engines, army vehicles and outside a jet.We met the owner who started this when he was fourteen and he's still going strong, still looking for that old Ford Anglia that alludes him. Before you leave check out the cafe with it's lovely cakes, drinks and hot food.
Had an amazing day at the transport museum , i took my wife and daughter , we looked through the exhibits and found they all have interesting stories attached to them , looked through the military section and my daughter loved the size of the vehicles there . I however was in my element in seeing a Lotus Carlton , and also one being restored , we got talking to 3 gentleman, 1 of them turned out to be the owner of the cars, they all were all very accommodating in talking to us in more detail about the cars , we had an amazing day and ill be back to see the progress of the restoration , thanks guys
