A picturesque harbour village on the River Cuckmere, featuring a charming quay, historic buildings, and a variety of shops, cafes, and restaurants. Visitors can enjoy boat trips, fishing, and water sports, as well as scenic walks along the riverbank and surrounding countryside.
Charming village with narrow, winding streets and stunning waterfront views. The local seafood is incredibly fresh, and the community is welcoming. Its scenic coastal paths and thriving arts scene have made it a perfect escape.
Great evening in the sunshine, crabbing and taking a stroll with my little ones. We filled a bucket of crabs, found some old boats that were later covered by the sea and my boys found it fascinating. Lots to do nearby!
It's been there for over 40 years since my last visit and went back on 5th May 2024 with my wife, who was my girlfriend on my first visit 1982. I intend to go back there in 2025 . Such a nice place
I love this place. It's my favourite UK location. So peaceful and uncommercial. Views are spectacular and there is plenty of parking. Zero litter.
There wasn't much going on, we visited slightly out of season (late March). Plenty of pubs though so would be great on a warmer day. There was an interesting boat graveyard
Fabulous Quay! Great to wander along.. Lovely fresh bakery (Johns).. there were plenty of benches, the weather was amazing! Car park was plenty big enough, reasonable prices for parking.. Ice cream van perfectly situated.. Was great to see so many families crabbing and having fun too! We will go back!
