Arboretum including Champion Trees and renowned collection of Rhododendrons and Azaleas - particularly suitable for visiting May and June when in full flower but worth a visit at any time of year. Dramatic views over Loch Fyne, Old Mill on banks of River Fyne which runs through the gardens, Scriptorium and many other unique features. The garden is on several levels with various terrains to suit a variety of abilities and preferences. Partially wheel chair and pram friendly, steep in places. The Gruffalo Trail, Fairy Trail & Snakey Slide are a must visit for all young at heart. Open all year round, dawn to dusk.
Beautiful, well-kept gardens . Our daughters loved this walk , especially the slide on the way around . Plenty of areas to stop and have a rest or a picnic . We did the gruffalo and fairy trail while we were there .
Lovley walk! Lots of incredible plants and the trees are absolutely amazing! Well worth a visit. Portaloo on site and a bin so no excuse to leave any thing behind. Dogs welcome although they have to be kept on a lead at all times.
Incredible ecological gem. A truly superb walking trail through some beautiful natural scenery. Visited in autumn and the colour palette was breath taking. Also red squirrels are all over here, never seen so many or seen them so close up. Cannot recommend visiting enough, support the biodiversity if this truly beautiful natural garden.
This was a lovely day out, beautiful walk through the woods, with highlights of sculpture, flowers and structures throughout. The gardens are dog friendly but they must be kept on a lead. The champion trees at the end were spectacular. I would highly recommend a visit here There is a children's play area, large slide and gruffalo themed area as well
